THE QUESTION WE GET ASKED THE MOST… “When is the BEST TIME to come and fish?”
While we can’t predict the weather or the fish, the BEST TIME to come is when you can and when there are fishing dates available. Mother Nature doesn’t read the calendar, so the fish can be early or late, the water conditions can be high or low or right on, the weather can be cold or warm… so many factors make up the season of fishing for world famous wild steelhead. We can only advise you on when the fishing should be good and tell you the pros and cons of that particular time.
So… when can you come? Talk to us and we can customize your trip and help you have a great trip!

If you are interested in trying some dry fly fishing for steelhead, then consider the first two weeks of September as a good time. The fish are fresh, the crowds are minimal and for the past several seasons, the fishing has been good.
We look forward to fishing with you on the Bulkley River.
